SYNOPSIS

While searching for his hero Ernest Hemingway in pre-WWII America, Damon, a rich young man falls for Sara, a poor baker’s assistant – until the boy’s disapproving mother convinces each that the other is no longer interested in continuing the affair. After the war, Damon discovers the treachery that broke them apart and commits his considerable resources to getting Sara back. But first he must find her, which he does eventually in a grim psychiatric hospital…Or does he?

Set in the burdened world of privilege, the story is a tragic romance with a memorable and devastating twist.
