A symbol of the American West and part of the Texas Ranger legend – the five edged sheriff star is made out of Mexican coins. Even today it’s attached to many American police officers shirts and now the interest has awakened from this side of the Atlantic. To Ron Edgington, retired cop from Huntsville, Texas, the increasing interest means a full time job. He learnt the craft by an intern when he worked in one of the towns prisons and the hobby soon became something more than just a hobby.
