Dear Eliz. & Pete,
Here we are in Colorado! What a relief! We are now in Walsenburg. Boy, what a lot of sheep
there are here. Eugenie is not any better, but if she has made it this long, I think she
will live. No yapping for two days! Hooray! The Remhardts are practically zombies - they
have not slept very much. I don't think they are enjoying this trip very much. Guess what
- we crossed the Rockies and Burma didn't even get queasy! A miracle!! I talked to Nul on
the 'phone today - she is going to meet us in Texas after all! I can't wait - maybe she
can get Jan out of her bad mood! Fondly, Joseph
