Dear Pete & Elizabeth,
So much has happened since I last wrote to you! Now that we have left Ohio (ugh!)
and are no longer in that smelly car I feel much better. Eldud R. is quite
pleased with the legs I made for Eugenie (yes two!). It was touch and go,
though - it took me half way across Wisconsis (the Badger state - total yawn) to
get the leg I glued off Eugenie. Boy did she yap! I decided against hair since
the hair loss seems to be permanent. Eugenie looks great standing up for a change -
instead of flopping around, except she can't walk because both artificial legs are stiff.
Maybe I dshould make the knees bend? I think she is quite happy anyway since
all the way to East Liverpool, Ohio it was nothing but Yap! Yap! Yap! We got the
plane in East Liverpool, which I am on now. It is hard to believe that China
Airlines goes from Ohio to Florida, but here we are at 15,000 feet. Isn't that sort
of low for a jet? Plus, the plane sure shimmies and rattles. The stewardess
told me this is their only airplane -- I think! She barely speaks English. Boy
does Burma look sick. Nul promised me that the hypnotism would last at least as long
as the flight, but I am not too optomistic. Why did I sit next to her again?
This is my last jacket! And they served us Chinese food for lunch. Yuk.
At least there is no cheese for Jan to complain about! It seems that the only
place she was happy was Wisconsin. I wonder how Eugenie is doing in the baggage bin.
I'm not sure, but I think I can hear her Yap! Yap! yap! - Joseph
