Dear Peter & Elizabeth,
Last night was a total disaster! Jan said something totally rude to the Remhardts about
Eugenie looking like one of those balloon animals that you get at the circus what with the
fact that she doesn't have any more hair at all now. Eldud R. stormed out of the motel and
paced in the parking lot all night (occasionally slamming the car doors to make sure that
we were all aware that he was still out there). Now I don't know what to do - should I put
hair on the leg I whittle or not? It's unclear whether Eugenie's hair loss is temporary or
permanent. I guess I had better wait and see. By the way, I think I will use straps not
glue - the experiment I tried didn't work out too well - it stuck fine but was sort of
difficult to adjust. I think the heat is making everyone irritable - it was 91º today -
