"The Jury" is
saying hello to Shalom Harlow.
Model-thesp has been cast in a leading role in the one-hour Fox
drama pilot from exec producers Barry Levinson, Tom Fontana, Jim
Finnerty and James Yoshimura. Fontana and Yoshimura are writing,
with Levinson set to direct the 20th Century Fox TV pilot greenlit
earlier this year under the title "The Circuit" (Daily
Variety, Sept. 9).
Harlow will play Melissa Greenfield, a private practice defense
attorney who had been a public defender.
Thesp's recent credits include Par's "How to Lose a Guy in
10 Days," starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, and
"The Salton Sea."
Upcoming features include the ensemble "I Love Your
Work" and the crime drama "Happy Here and Now," from
scribe-helmer Michael Almereyda.
UTA and Heather Reynolds-repped Harlow made the transition from
model to TV personality in 1996 as co-host of MTV's "House of
Style."
