| Isaach was in Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth,
Claire Denis's Chocolat and No Fear, No Die, Jacques
Benoit's How to Make Love..., Joe Brewster's The Keeper,
Gerard Oury's Vanille-Fraise, Gerard Zingg's Ada Dans la Jungle,
and Josiane Balasko's Les Keufs. In 1987 he won the Cesar (French Oscar) for Best New Actor, in Thomas Gilou's Black Mic-Mac. On television he appeared in Nicholas Roeg's version of Heart of Darkness. He has done much work in the theatre, directed Quai Ouest: A Play with Kenyan Actors, and has written a feature film, Babylon su Seine, and a short, Dibi Dibi (Tricks). Isaach has a degree in acting from Cours Simon and a degree in mathematics from the Universite de Paris. |
