Bernard has directed two features, 1996's Orphan of War and 1990's Suffering Bastards, which starred John C. McGinley, Eric Bogosian and Gina Gershon.

Variety said of Suffering Bastards: "Bernard Williams comedy was one of the hits of the Florence Film Festival and has all the credentials to become a cult item. Shot on a shoestring the film soars with outrageous invention heralding a talented director going places."

He directed and shot Marty Balin's "Better Generation," and Lakol's "Olé", which won a Carribean Music Award for best music video. He has shot and edited numerous music videos, commercials and industrials, and is a regular Camera/Producer for WNET's Emmy winning series, "City Arts."

Bernard has a BA, Magna Cum Laude, from University of Maryland, and an MFA from New York University Graduate Film school.
