Mea Culpa.
I fell out of sight, without a word. Thank you to those who wondered and
wrote. It wasn't meant to happen that way, exactly.
As I write this I am in Venice Florida. It is Friday night. Last night, in
New York City, was the Cherry wrap party. I missed it. Tomorrow, in a
little bar somewhere in the East Village, an abbreviated crew is shooting the final
scenes. These feature Jake Weber and the bartender.
No Shalom. She's wrapped out. She's on the runways at the spring shows in
Paris right now. She keeps on working.
I'm working, too. I'm doing my daily column for ESPN Sportszone about
spring training. This afternoon I watched the Texas Rangers trounce the New York Yankees
in Port Charlotte. Tomorrow there will be a story of mine about the game.
It isn't the same as Making Cherry.
What's going to happen to Making Cherry? As far as I know, it will
continue. Not on a daily basis, however, because for the moment I'm away. And because
during editing there aren't as many stories to tell.
But there are stories. I've got a backlog. And we'll tell them here. We'll
also have a new look. So please check back. There is still a lot to be done.
